This Matchless Chieftain was a brilliant lady. Superb condition, but no reverb. Problem was the reverb tank unit. The output transducer was open circuit. A new tank sorted the problem. |

This was an early example of a Fender Twin Reverb. Very good condition, but had a mix of output valves and the screen resistors had been changed for odd values. 4 screen resistors 470ohms were fitted and 1 grid resistor 1K5. The chassis was cleaned, as were the valve bases and pots. The amp was back in its glory days. |

Marshal Valvestate – not much to say about this amp. There were dry joints on the power amp pcb, but the main problem was one loudspeaker was open circuit and the other was going intermittently short circuit. |

Watkins Dominator in for a general service and clean up. The owner has had this little beauty from new , around 1963. She is in really good condition, did have new GT valves fitted last year. |

This Little Fender JAM was creating some excessive noise on the overdrive channels. New preamp i.c's and coupling caps sorted the problem. |
